Basics
Magula are bipedal humanoid-shaped creatures made almost entirely of a gelatin-like substance.
Outside
Jelly
Magula have a thick "skin" that is similar to gummy candy or firm gelatin. It is about as thick as human skin and provides the same function, protecting the rest of the body.
One notable thing about Magula skin is that it tastes like gelatin as well. Flavours can be anything from fruit to candy to weird things like vegetables.
Inside
Skeleton
The Magula skeleton is far more durable than that of a human. Their bones are slightly rubbery and can take more pressure for a slightly longer period of time.
It's been said that Magula bone marrow tastes sweet and has a flavour reminiscent of vanilla.

Reproduction
Magula as a species are simultaneous hermaphrodites. They are capable of both becoming pregnant and getting others pregnant.
They are ovoviviparous, which means they produce eggs that eventually hatch inside the carrier. In their case, this typically occurs shortly before birth, anywhere from a couple of hours to only a few minutes. Eggs are produced in clutches. The average clutch ranges from eight to twenty. The record for the most eggs laid at once is 38!
The gestation period lasts around six months. The eggs start out almost microscopic. After fertilization, they grow for almost the entire gestation, only stopping around week 23.
